Dancing and music has been a part of my life since I can remember. I was roller skating with my mother at 18 months. My mother was a disco queen and I would put on her dresses and DANCE until I dropped.  Being an Air Force family, our home was filled with the rhythms and flavors of the world.

                 I have over 20 years of dancing experience and danced with two companies in Omaha, NE; Visions Unlimited aka Mary Taylor Dancers and with the Moving Company.  I was one of the original cheerleaders for the CBA Omaha Racers.  I choreographed dances for Visions Unlimited and taught with the Girls Club of  Omaha. I am currently licensed Zumba® Fitness, Zumba® Gold,  Zumba® Toning,  Aqua Zumba®, and Zumbatomic® and hold certification from  AFAA (Aerobic and Fitness Association of America)  for Group Exercise

 When I moved to the East Valley, I kept hearing about a Latin Impact class at LA Fitness.  Since I really just like the group exercise classes, I decided to try.  Vanessa WHOOPED my behind...and I was HOOKED.  I checked out ZUMBA that night and sent a request for an Arizona workshop.  I got lucky as 4 months later Koh came to town!! 

                 Wow...Koh is just as amazing as Vanessa.  They told us that if we EVER got a chance to attend a workshop with Beto that we shouldn't pass it up.  The workshop went well, but I was a little apprehensive because I am a trained DANCER, not an aerobics instructor.  Beto was coming to LA in December 2006 so, I thought why not! 

                 I signed up for a one day with Beto in LA and within the first 2 minutes, I understood the concept.  This is a PARTY!  Beto...is a DANCER too!  The understood feel and flow of Beto’s choreography, phrase, patterns, cueing and instruction. I was now HOOKED on teaching, promoting ZUMBA Fitness to live a healthy life.
